Just...wow! Read it and challenge your diocese, demand more from your leaders. It is no longer a case of a few bad apples spoiling the barrel.
I had to buy a Kindle just to read this book since it is now out of print (I suspect the Catholic church has something to do with it). The information contained here should test the faith of the faithful.
Quite premature ? Is this a requirement for reading this book on kindle. I ordered a book and shld not be bothered at this time. If i have to do this for few chapters i read in no time i can just ditch kindle and spend time in the library which is a short exercise walk from home. No offense.
Loved this short book! I was born and raised Catholic in the Philippines, but grew significantly disillusioned by the church's hypocrisy and meddling in Philippine politics. I have not lived there for more than 20 years, so the book is a revealing history of how the Philippine church continues to be a significant hindrance to the country's well being.
Disturbing down to its core. To be honest, I can only read one chapter at a time and then have to take a hiatus. It saddens the heart and mind to learn that a social entity designed to support the best among people is so morally and spiritually corrupt. One can only wonder, however, how similar other social institutions mirror the RCC in the Philippines.
They show their true colors. Mga Putang inang yan.
Very riveting accounts. Reading each page brings you to nod in agreement and dismay because I've seen some of similar accounts in my life as a former roman catholic.
